During her academic journey, she took a year of Neuroscience and was intrigued by the brain and its resiliency to trauma. If our brains are adaptable, that means we are! Trauma was not new to her, but she found herself simultaneously re-experiencing trauma that led her to an unexplored area, sexual addiction. She's experienced firsthand how therapy can empower people to change their lives by changing their thoughts and emotions, allowing them to make healthy choices after feeling hopeless and stuck. She can empathize with the effort it takes to work through the pain and feel whole.
When she's not working, she's spending quality time with her husband and four children, exploring the world and daring together.
