Sex Addiction, Betrayal Trauma & Affair Recovery in Georgia:DeVon MillsLPC
Our Tucker team has many affair recovery specialists who are available to help both individuals and couples work through betrayal trauma. One of these trained professionals is Dr. DeVon Mills.
"I work with clients on a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression and spirituality. However, much of my work focuses on pornography addiction, sexual addiction, and sexual identity issues. I am also well versed in working with those who have experienced neglect, abuse, and other traumatic experiences in life. I have worked extensively with men who experienced childhood sexual abuse and other complex trauma survivors. My philosophy adheres closely to the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." My primary goal as a counselor is to enable my clients to capitalize on the strength that resides within each of them. I seek to provide a healthy atmosphere for individuals, couples, and families to work through the issues holding them back from living their best life.
I am the owner of Thrive Counseling Atlanta and see clients in my office near Atlanta Midtown. I am also the Assistant Dean of the School of Counseling and a member of the clinical faculty at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA. I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Mercer University, a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy with specializations in Sex Therapy and Trauma Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, and a BA in Theology. I am happily married, the proud father of two children, and the begrudging owner of a Maltese."
