“Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know”

- Pema Chodron

Sharon believes the challenges we all face are gifts to guide us to a more authentic, fulfilled life. She has great enthusiasm for the courage of men and women who daringly confront issues that steal joy from them personally and in their relationships. She believes each person has gifts to re-discover and the capacity to create change and re-direct their lives to thrive. Sharon has compassion and hope for those who struggle with betrayal trauma and those who live in the shadows of addiction.

Sharon has worked as a victim’s advocate for a local shelter and with police and a sexual assault team, as an education specialist for families, a hospice worker, and in residential treatment. She has taught a Family Crisis and Intervention Distant Education Class for several years, and served as a guest lecturer for USU. She has presented for multiple community and church groups, has facilitated eating disorder groups, healing trauma groups, Brene’ Brown Connections curriculum, and addiction groups. She has worked to help develop a pilot program for healing trauma with the LDS Church. She has also done volunteer work as an American Red Cross Disaster Response Team and mental health specialist.

Sharon is the mother of five with a gaggle of grandchildren she adores. She loves adventure, celebrations, anything out-of-doors, music, and doing the unexpected.
