Rachel Augustus

LMFT | EFT | EMDR

Hello, I'm Rachel. I love working as a therapist and helping people with changes they want to make in their lives. My approach in therapy tends to be gentle but direct. I believe honesty is critical to the therapy process, so I work to be authentic in session, so my clients can feel comfortable to be real as well. Therapy is unique for every person, so initially I learn about my client's history and goals for therapy, and then we will work together to create a plan and reach those specific goals.

I have specialized training in working with trauma and with compulsive sexual behaviors such as pornography addiction. Additionally, I work with a variety of other presenting problems including individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life changes, abuse, eating disorders, and grief, and couple's issues such as communication, intimacy and parenting. I also enjoy working with kids (ages 11+) and their parents.

I grew up on a farm in Idaho where our family motto was work hard and then play hard. I try my best to live that every day, so when I'm not working, you can probably find me with my nose in a book, attending a play or concert, hiking a new trail with my dog or counting down the days until my family's next trip to Lake Powell.
