Hi, I'm Cameron. I believe that addiction recovery is about a lot more than just trying to stop an unwanted behavior. In order to find lasting and sustainable recovery, one must identify and address the roots of the problem. Recovery means changing habits, rediscovering your worth and value, learning to regulate emotions, being honest and accountable, and living a life of purpose, with a focus on self- care. I take a non-judgmental, compassionate approach towards those that I work with. I do my best to see them through the lens of their own experiences so I can better understand where they are currently at in their journey. I believe the etiology of many of the symptoms that people are seeking relief from stem from past attachment wounds and traumatic experiences.

In my years of experience treating trauma, it is clear to me that past experiences can cause people substantial present-day problems. Unresolved past traumatic experiences can be the source of great emotional pain in the present day. Trauma gets trapped and stored in the body, and when triggered, causes a person to experience unwanted and unwarranted emotions, beliefs, images of past experiences, and even physical sensations. Because trauma can be triggered at any time, this can cause a person to feel crazy or out of control and can cause serious difficulties in relationships. I help clients understand the origins and nature of their trauma so that they can make sense of what they are experiencing. Using EMDR therapy, I help clients reprocess past difficult experiences so that they can move forward and begin to find lasting peace and healing.

I am trained in EMDR, Neurofeedback, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. In my spare time, I enjoy attending sporting events, exercising, flyfishing, and spending time with my wife and three kids.
